  NEWS & UPDATES

10.2.2011: (Venue: Opposite Vashi Rly Station, Near Assam Bhavan)

Gav-Paradhi :

Mother Foundation Charitable Trust has always found different worship to the people.
At this time Mother Foundation Charitable Trust found the Paradhi Samaj.

"They are still fond of hunting and poaching and have not got rid of their turn for thieving.... The Phase Pardhi [a sub-tribe] is nearly always ragged and dirty, walking with a sneaking gait."

In 1952, the tribe was denotified as "criminal" and named as a nomadic tribe. However this has not changed the public perception of the tribe, and they continue to be stigmatized and live as outcasts, further aggravating their backwardness and economic hardships. Another Paradhi tribe called the Gav-Paradhi, settled primarily in the Amravati, Nagpur, District Maharashtra, escaped the label of 'criminal tribe' as they were mostly agriculturalists. The Nomadic Trible (Paradhi) never remain at a single place they always keep changing their places all over Maharashtra.

This was a distribution of clothes, Grocery & Chocolates to the Pardhi Beggars staying near the Vashi Rly Station. About 95 children and near about 200 adults took the advantage of taking clothes, Grocery & Chocolates for the childrens.
